Home district of Md. Nur Islam is Lalmonirhat, Bangladesh.

He has completed his B. Pharm (Hon’s) and M. Pharm (Masters’) from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Rajshahi. During his M. Pharm (Masters’) thesis, he worked on Biopharmaceutics as a research student and got a National Science & Technology scholarship (NST) at that time. He has three years of working experience in Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited. Currently, he has done a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the Institute of Biophysics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) under the CAS-TWAS President fellowship.
