Eligibility for admission:

  • GPA 6.50 in SSC/O-Level or equivalent and HSC/A-Level or equivalent examinations (in a total scale of 10).
  • Candidates must pass their SSC/O-Level or recognized equivalent group and obtain a minimum GPA 3.0 (in a scale of 5) without any additional subjects.
  • Candidates must pass their HSC/A-Level or recognized equivalent examination with a minimum GPA 3.0 in Chemistry and Biology separately and a minimum GPA 2.0 in Mathematics (in a scale of 5).
  • Candidates must pass their HSC/A-Level or recognized equivalent examination in the current year or one previous year.
  • Foreign students must have passed 12 education years and achieved the same grades in equivalent examinations from foreign recognized institutions.
  • The candidates must pass their HSC/A-Level or recognized equivalents with the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
  • Candidates having no Mathematics at the HSC/A-level or recognized equivalents may be admitted, however, they need to take an extra 3 (three) credit course on Mathematics relevant to the B.Pharm. Curriculum.
  • Admission is based on competitive written test evaluations. In addition to written test, an oral test may be taken for further assessment.
  • At least five subjects at O-Level and two subjects at A-Level with minimum `B` grade in four subjects and `C` grade in three subjects.

    *the waiver based on SSC and HSC or equivalent exams will be continued for the first 1-year without considering required CGPA/SGPA at MIU Examinations. After the first year, such waiver will be continued based on maintenance of the required CGPA/SGPA at MIU examinations.

    Mode of payment:

    Students have to pay the required fees/charges of any semester in 3 (three) installments.

    For 1st semester:

    1) The students will pay admission fee Tk. 16000/- and Tk. 15000/- as semester fee at the time of admission.

    2) 80% of total fees/charges of the semester has to be paid before the mid-term examination.

    3)The remaining fees/charges (if any) has to be paid before the final examination of the semester.

    For Other semester:

    1) The remaining fees/charges (if any) has to be paid before the final examination of the semester.

    2) Tk. 25,000/- has to be paid during registration. If the applicable fees/charges are less than Tk. 25,000/-, the student may pay Tk. 15,000/- at the time of registration.

    3) 80% of total fees/charges of the semester has to be paid before the mid-term examination.

    4)The remaining fees/charges (if any) has to be paid before the final examination of the semester.

    Other Criteria:

    • Waiver based on SSC and HSC or equivalent results, and special waiver shall remain valid for 4 years/entire program subject to maintaining required SGPA/CGPA at MIU examinations
    • A student may avail only one type of waiver/scholarship at a time from the above categories (I, II & III) whichever is maximum for him/her
    • Waiver/Scholarship will not be applicable for retake/improvement courses.
    • Any student enjoying scholarships must obey the rules & regulations of MIU, failing which may result in the cancellation of his/her scholarship.
    • The students of freedom fighter quota must maintain minimum CGPA 2.50 at MIU examinations as per UGC rules.
    • In case of special waiver, the authority of MIU reserves the right to change the policy time to time in the greater interest of the university
