Dr.
Mst. Umme Bushra is Assistant Professor of the Pharmacy Department at Manarat
International University. She is currently playing the role of the Program Coordinator,
Department of Pharmacy. She completed
B.Pharm and M.Pharm degrees from the
University of Dhaka. She achieved Ph.D. in clinical pharmacy and pharmacology in 2017
for doing research entitled, “Genetic polymorphisms of GSTP1, XRCC1, XPC, and
ERCC1: prediction of clinical outcome of platinum-based chemotherapy in
advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients in Bangladesh.”
She
has more than 11 years of experience in teaching and about one year in the field
of the pharmaceutical industry. She is skilled in UV, HPLC, and PCR technology. She has been doing research work in
Pharmaceutical chemistry, Clinical pharmacy, and Pharmacology. She has 10
international publications in different journals. Besides this, she is the author of seven books. She
is awarded from ‘Daily Ittefaq’ for writing column.
Her recent research
activities were published in the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer
Prevention (APJCP), 2021, Molecular Biology Reports, 2020, and Tumor Biology, 2017.
