Md Abdur Rahman holds a B.Pharm from East West
University, Dhaka, and pursued his M.Sc. in Nutrition and Biomedicine at the
Technical University of Munich. With a professional background spanning three
years across esteemed pharmaceutical companies in Germany and Bangladesh—Eurofins
PHAST, Radiant Pharmaceuticals, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Incepta
Pharmaceuticals—he has taken on roles of analyst, marketing brand executive,
and research and development officer respectively. Throughout his academic
journey, he secured two academic scholarships and received the distinction of
Magna Cum Laude. During his master's program, he engaged in two impactful internship
projects and conducted his master's thesis at Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen, a distinguished
German research institute. His initial project involved exploring
dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) expression under varying influences of
glucose, L-glutamine, and arginine using mammalian cell culture, RT-qPCR, and
western blot techniques. Subsequently, he successfully engineered a stable cell
line expressing ascorbate peroxidase (APEX)-2 through cloning and mammalian
cell culture methods. His master's thesis centred on identifying endogenous
ligands against the nuclear receptor Tr4, employing cloning, protein isolation,
purification, and LC-MS techniques. Additionally, he possesses advanced
expertise in DNA isolation, agarose gel electrophoresis, RNA extraction, cDNA
synthesis, protein isolation, and bioassay.
